Heritage is the defining feature of this leafy Lower North Shore pocket, from its Federation homes to the Walter Burley Griffin-designed incinerator on Small Street.

Federation-era homes dominate the older streets, the Willoughby Hotel on Penshurst Street dates back to 1899, and Californian bungalows fill in the tree-lined blocks around it.
